The best in live entertainment and cinema for less
At Leeds Heritage Theatres, our venues are for everyone and we are always looking for ways to ensure as many people from the Leeds and wider area can see our live performances, screenings and events.
We’ve created this helpful guide to share information about how you can visit our venues and still have change for an ice cream!
Memberships
Gold and Silver Memberships
If you’re a regular at our venues, then our Gold or Silver Memberships are excellent yearly investments to make your visits to Leeds Grand Theatre and City Varieties cheaper in the long run.
You’d only need to bring three friends with you to three Mon-Thu performances at The Grand, or one friend with you to five Mon-Thu performances at The Grand and you’ve already made back more than the £45 you pay for your Gold Membership, or the £30 you pay for Silver.
On top of that, the two memberships have discounts on our bars, offers on tickets at Hyde Park Picture House and our Gold Members enjoy discounts on parking and at local restaurants, bars and hotels.
Gold Membership – £45 (£3.75 a month)
£4 off up to four tickets for select performances, 25% off select open nights at Leeds Grand Theatre, 10% off at our bars and on merchandise, 25% off Bar 1878 bookings, and Q-Park and local partner discounts.

What you get…

If you like to be the first in the queue to buy tickets, Secret Seats is a great way for you to save money as well as getting to see West End phenomenons, the best of comedy, ballet, drama and so much more.
Choose Secret Seats in the booking pathway, and you’ll bag £22 tickets for the best available seats on the day of the performance. If you like to see theatre on more rogue days of the week, this could mean you end up with a view worth triple what you paid.

Group bookings
A night out at the theatre with your friends and loved ones is good for the soul. We offer discounts to groups of 10+ but discounts vary from show to show. Save with our resident companies
Our resident companies Northern Ballet and Opera North both offer ways to make ballet and opera more accessible to all.
Northern Ballet
Our friends at Northern Ballet offer a great deal if you are a booker of multiple ballets, offering 10% off tickets when you book two shows, and 15% off when you book three.
If you’re bringing young people to see the ballet, book for under 16s on selected performances and get one child ticket at half price for every adult ticket in the Stalls and Upper Circle.
Northern Ballet
Opera North
Just over the road at Opera North, audience members new to opera are treated to £20 tickets thanks to the Try It ON scheme ensuring that price is less of a barrier to experiencing opera.
As with our Under 30s, Opera North also wants to make sure the younger audience members aren’t funneling their wages or student loans into tickets, offering just £10 tickets to its Under 30s members.
Opera North
Hyde Park Picture House
To find out more about how you can enjoy films for less, our Hyde Park Picture House team has also written a helpful guide including everything from memberships to families to food and drink.
Ways to save at HPPH
Other ways to save
Off-peak performances
Our midweek performances of our week+ long shows tend to be cheaper than those on a Friday or at the weekend. If you find yourselves with free evenings midweek, or work weekends, this is a brilliant way to save on your theatre tickets.
Concessions
It may vary from show to show, but we do offer certain concessionary discounts on select tickets. For more information, get in touch with our Box Office.
Tickets For Good
We occasionally work with Tickets For Good – an organisation that provides free or discounted tickets to NHS workers, charity workers and cost of living payment recipients.

Matinee Meetups
As well as being a wonderful way to meet like-minded people, our Matinee Meetups offer a free beverage to those who come along, saving money and time in those pre-show bar queues!
