Join Our Team
When we come together, we create something extraordinary. With our combined, unique skills, we make a real difference. We inspire one another. We become stronger. Everyone is welcome to share in this labour of love. What part will you play?
Our Commitment
Leeds Heritage Theatres’ success and our ability to fulfil our charitable aims is dependent on the people who choose to join our team. Whether you are just starting out or if you have decades of experience under your belt, we are looking for people who want to help us to succeed and who, in turn, will find our team to be a safe and supportive environment in which to flourish.
We actively promote equality of opportunity for all with the right mix of talent, skills, and potential, and welcome applications from a wide range of candidates. We are committed to promoting safeguarding and the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. Therefore, all appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks and relevant roles will need to complete an enhanced DBS check.
Recognising that the cultural sector, including our organisation, has a great deal of work to do to become truly equal, we are in the process of reviewing our recruitment policies and procedures. This process involves trialling different approaches to recruitment to inform our learning. If the recruitment procedure for any individual role is different to the one laid out in our Recruitment Pack this will be included in the advert for that role.
Importantly this work to improve our approach to recruitment sits as part of the wider development of an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy for our organisation. This strategy recognises that simply welcoming new voices into our team is only ever part of the journey to change and grow.

Where creativity thrives and stories unfold.
Mission
We bring people together through vibrant, creative experiences that cross artforms, spark ideas and celebrate shared stories. Across our historic venues, we welcome artists and communities to create, collaborate and discover new possibilities. At our core is a commitment to developing skills, widening access and a sustainable future. With openness, care and curiosity, we champion work that is inclusive, adventurous, and rooted in the cultural heartbeat of Leeds. Our programmes resonate locally, across the UK and around the world.
Vision
Leeds Heritage Theatres will be a hub of creativity, celebrating the work of local, national and international artists and the human connection of arts and culture. Our work will be underpinned by excellence, skill, inclusivity, collaboration, learning and generosity, and will be visible at home in Leeds but regionally, nationally and virtually. Our physical and digital sites will be places of congregation, engagement, excitement and welcome. We will always be future-facing and outwards-facing, whilst recognising our heritage and our history.
