All-American Hallie Parker and posh English girl Annie James (both played *iconically* by Lindsay Lohan) meet at summer camp. After getting off to a rough start, they realise some uncanny similarities and discover they’re twins separated at birth!
Soon they’re plotting a plan to reunite their parents so they can live happily ever after as sisters, but there’s some obstacles standing in their way: a dodgy English accent, an evil soon-to-be stepmother and the fact their parents have no idea they’ve swapped identities.
Nancy Meyers’ debut is a hilarious family film which launched her career so she could bring us such GFP favourites as The Holiday and It’s Complicated.
