Mughal Miniatures: The Elephant and the Drummer Workshop
Sonia Sabri Company is the leading contemporary South Asian dance and music company in the UK and the creator of Mughal Miniatures – a series of vibrant outdoor performances for all the family, which celebrates and takes inspiration from the exquisite traditional art of Indian and Persian miniature painting.
The performances are a fabulous combination of contemporary dance and Indian Classical dance. Come and learn some the dance moves for yourself! Discover how to dance like a proud peacock, an Indian princess or a playful elephant!
No experience is necessary for this fun and accessible dance workshop which will bring to life some of the fabulous miniature worlds and their characters found in these historic paintings.
This workshop will take place at Howard Grand Hall, located in Leeds Grand Theatre.
