After School Drama Clubs
Overview
After school drama clubs are an excellent way to introduce young people to the world of drama. Through performance-based activities and games led by industry professionals, young people will learn how to express themselves, gain confidence and develop respect for their own and each other’s individuality.
Our standard package for our after school drama clubs includes games and exercises that support a young person’s development in the following areas:
- Wellbeing
- Confidence
- Communication
Running for either half a term or a full term, the after school drama clubs will culminate in a sharing for parents to attend, to see first-hand the development of their child’s drama skills.
Each club session will last for an hour and be held once a week for 10-15 children, with a cost of £120 per session. Having two practitioners for the clubs costs £150 per session.
We can also offer a more bespoke package; just let us know what it is you need and we will accommodate where possible.
“Loved watching all the children work together and communicate amongst each other. It was great to see.” – Parent
“My favourite thing about drama club is having a good time together and having our imaginations come to life.” – Pupil
“Happy to see how the children improved this semester and how confident they became.” – Parent
Current Projects
We are delighted to partner with Castleton Primary School to deliver after school drama clubs this academic year and to support them in their Artsmark commitment to embedding arts into the curriculum.
Working with a different group of children every half term, we are practising drama skills with KS2 pupils to improve their teamwork and boost confidence. Each half term will end with a sharing for teachers and parents to see the impact of the clubs and for participants to celebrate their achievements.
We are open for bookings in Autumn 2024, so get in touch below to enquire.
Our Mission
With our clubs, we seek to enrich the lives of young people aged 7-11 through drama games and creative exercises.
Our aim is to encourage less confident children to introduce their own ideas and comfortably convey these to their peers. For pupils with more confidence, our clubs will teach them to be generous with their skills and to understand the value of teamwork and respect.
We will work together to ensure all participants can collaborate and have fun with creative learning.
