Our KS2 workshops offer hands-on learning immersed in the history of our venues.
Key information
- Standard workshops at the theatre last 2.5hrs
- Cost £200 for up to 30 children
- Delivered by experienced drama facilitators and education professionals
- All workshops at the theatre include a tour of the venue
- Some workshops can be adapted for delivery in school
- Full risk assessments can be provided on request

KS2 workshops

Spotlights and Sound Effects: 2.5 hours, £200
- Experiment with light and colour to affect the mood of a performance and create soundscapes
- With our lighting rig, pupils can investigate the practical application of Science NC principles
- Our tour explores the evolution of light (Y3 and Y6) and sound (Y4) in theatre from past to present

World of Work (Primary Edition): 2.5 hours, £200
- Learn about key roles in a working theatre and explore how our venues operate as modern businesses
- Students will undertake job-specific tasks from programming to marketing to design a chosen show
- After the careers-focused tour, we incorporate either a drama element or production portfolio activity

Ancient Greeks vs Victorians: 2.5 hours, £200
- Explore the key similarities and differences between these two eras from the History NC
- Dive into the traditional performance techniques of Ancient Greece through drama activities
- Our tour develops an understanding of chronology and Greek influence over our Victorian venues

Victorian Music Hall: 2.5 hours, £200
- Bring the rich Victorian heritage of Leeds to life through our combined tour and workshop
- Learn about costumes, characters and performers through roleplay, storytelling and object handling
- A History-focused drama activity is included in our workshop

Wellbeing Workshops: 2.5 hours, £200
- Confidence building and teamwork will be explored through drama skills and games
- We can tailor workshop content to meet the specific needs of the pupils in your school
- We can focus on your school values and ethos and incorporate this into the session
