Join Our Team - Fundraising Manager, Trusts Foundations & Grants
Purpose of Job
For the first time in our history, we would like to employ a team member dedicated to fundraising for our charity. We currently generate 98% of our income through sales of tickets but we know that to achieve our ambitious plans, we need additional support in raising funds from alternative sources – particularly grant makers. We have had success in accessing funds for specific projects but are now ready to begin developing a more strategic approach to fundraising. This role will work collaboratively with key members of the Senior Leadership Team to help kick-start a new era in fundraising for the charity.
About You
This is an exciting new role in an organisation which has not historically had an ongoing fundraising function. You’ll need to be self-motivated and confident in your expertise, able to guide and be guided, and help us shape and deliver our charitable purposes and improve and maintain our heritage buildings.
You’ll be an experienced grants or trust fundraiser, ideally in the cultural sector, but if not, you’ll have a passion for arts and culture, particularly for the difference it can and does make to people’s lives.
As an expert communicator, able to write succinct but engaging narratives, you’ll be confident in face to face and online meetings and presentations, and able to maintain accurate records on our systems. We’re looking for someone who is committed to working effectively and collaboratively with all team members, ensuring an inclusive and organisation-wide approach to your work.
For full details of the role, please see the job description.
