Join Our Team - Customer Experience Supervisor

Purpose of Job

We have a role available for Customer Experience Supervisors who will be deployed to the Customer Service and Sales section of the Customer Experience Team.

The role of Customer Experience Supervisor is to work (with a small team) during performance times at Leeds Grand Theatre or City Varieties Music Hall. To be responsible for your area and supporting the team to ensure courteous and efficient sales and customer service and be the first point of contact for customers and staff.

Although on occasions we may have events and performances at any time, our usual working hours are Monday to Saturday evenings (from 5pm) and daytime performances can be on Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday afternoons (from noon). Shifts are allocated monthly depending on the needs of the business.

Our entire Customer Experience Team works with members of the public, providing a warm welcome to everyone at our performances and venues. We work hard to make everything we do as accessible to the widest range of people we can.

About You

The preferred candidate will like working with the public and have a friendly, approachable manner. They will ideally have worked in a similar role or have relevant transferrable skills.

Enthusiasm and cheerfulness are essential to gain the opportunity to join this team as well as a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

You will need to be willing and able to welcome the diversity of visitors and audiences who come through our doors. Salary and Benefits

Contract Type: Permanent – annualised hours

Responsible to: House Managers

Salary: £12.30 per hour

Holiday entitlement: Dependent on contract

Probation Period: Six months

Notice Period : One month on completion of probationary period

Hours: 28hrs per week (FT) or 16hrs per week (PT), based on an annualised hours contract. Shifts will be allocated monthly depending on the needs of the business*

*Your normal hours of work are 28 per week (5/6); however, the actual times of work will vary according to the needs of the business and will involve evening and weekend working.  In exceptional circumstances you may be required to work any time – 24 hours over 6 days a week.
