Maddie is delighted to be returning to the City Varieties and to be spending another festive season in Leeds. This is her second time in a Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto, having been the front of Bessie the Cow in last year’s show!

Panto instruments: Trumpet and keys.

Festive favourites. We asked our panto cast members their favourite things about Christmas:

Panto: Probably Jack and the Beanstalk – I have a soft spot for it as it was my first one

MusicalGypsy by Jule Styne – the music is timeless and it’s a show I’ve always dreamed of being in

Thing: Food! Any excuse to eat that much cheese!

Present you have ever received: A pottery wheel and a block of clary when I was about nine – I was a very crafty child!

Film: Elf, always

Food: Cheese. Or my granny’s homemade mince pies. Ideally both!

Song: Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas – but the Judy Garland version!

New Year’s resolution: I always try and start a creative hobby that isn’t to do with my job. I have good intentions and then give up when I’m not instantly good at it!
