First published in 1971, The Exorcist became a literary phenomenon and inspired one of the most shocking films ever made.
When young Regan MacNeil begins exhibiting disturbing and inexplicable behaviour, her desperate mother turns to the church for help. Enter Father Merrin and Father Karras, who must confront a powerful demonic force in a battle of faith, fear, and possession. With ground-breaking effects and unforgettable performances, The Exorcist remains one of the most influential and controversial horror films of all time.
To mark the publication of a special anniversary edition of William Peter Blatty’s landmark novel The Exorcist we’re hosting a special screening of William Friedkin’s terrifying classic with our wonderful friends at 3AM Books.
