It is with a heavy heart that we have learned of the passing of our good friend Kay Mellor. Leeds born and bred, Kay was a pioneer of northern drama and real-life stories, going where no other female writer, director, or actor had gone before. We’re deeply proud and humbled to have been chosen as the home venue for her two stage premieres, Fat Friends The Musical (2017) and Band of Gold (2019) – both of which were huge success stories, as was everything that Kay turned her hand to. The hearts and thoughts of our theatre family are with her family, who we are also blessed to call friends of our theatres.

Feast of Fiddles

Presented by Hugh Crabtree
£23.50 - £21.50
Feast of Fiddles perform on stage.

Feast of Fiddles was born in Nettlebed on Valentine’s Day 1994 as a one-off special concert. Since then the band has done 26 spring tours, 25 festivals and has 7 CDs to its name. Not bad for a bunch of old folk-rockers!

Fiddlers’ Peter Knight (Gigspanner, Steeleye Span), Chris Leslie (Fairport Convention),  Brian McNeill (Battlefield Band), Ian Cutler (Bully Wee), Tom Leary (Lindisfarne) and Garry Blakeley (Band of Two) add the large range of fiddle playing styles to the  back-line of guitars, keyboards, sax and accordion – all held together by legendary drummer Dave Mattacks.

The show features all the individuals in a wide range of ensemble pieces – instrumental and vocal: a live music entertainment like no other on the circuit which is guaranteed to be enjoyed by even the most doubting of friends dragged along!
