Les Misérables update Leeds Grand Theatre

10/03/21 Les Misérables update Leeds Grand Theatre

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19, we regret to inform you that Les Misérables has been rescheduled to Thu 24 November – Sat 10 December 2022. Whilst the government has outlined clear dates that theatres can reopen (if conditions are met), it still does not allow the company of Les Misérables enough time to rehearse and deliver a touring production to their exacting standards.

Unfortunately, this has left us with the unenviable task of moving four weeks of performances into three. Devising the fairest way to do this has proved incredibly difficult for our staff, but having spoken to the producers, we have taken the decision to move week 1-3 bookers (Thu 22 July – Sat 7 August) to the rescheduled dates, leaving us the gargantuan task of moving week 4 bookers (Mon 9 – Sat 14 August 2021) to one of the new dates.

All ticket holders will be contacted by our Box Office team over the next couple of weeks, either by email or telephone (please check junk/spam/work email addresses). We know that this will be a huge disappointment to many, but we kindly ask that you refrain from contacting us whilst we try to resolve the situation as quickly and efficiently as possible.  Tickets for the 2022 dates will not go on sale until April, when all previous bookers have been reallocated seats. Thank you as always for your patience and understanding.

Week 4 bookers

We will do everything in our power to assign you the date of your choice, with like-for-like seats, by filling in THIS FORM and selecting your top three alternative dates – you can also request a refund on the form if you’d prefer*.

You will not be asked to pay more for a seat unless you are happy to upgrade, and likewise, if the seats offered to you are in a lower price band than the ones you originally purchased, you will automatically receive a refund. We will be in touch in the coming weeks with your new date and tickets.

Week 1-3 bookers

You do not need to do anything; your tickets will be automatically transferred and valid for the corresponding performance in 2022 (see table below for new dates). An email containing your tickets will be sent by 30 April 2021 for you to print at home or show on your phone when attending the show.

We appreciate that the new date we have offered you may not be convenient – if this is the case, please click HERE to choose an alternative date or to receive a refund*. Please note, we won’t look to move you until week four bookers have been allocated a seat, as they have not been as lucky to receive an automatic transfer.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Leeds Heritage Theatres

*Monetary refunds are available up to one month before the performance, credit vouchers are available up to two weeks before the performance.  Please note, this process is taking longer than usual due to remote working and the amount of people we must contact. Booking fees are non-refundable as stated in our T&Cs. Currently, they are being used to support the huge administration costs involved in closing our venues, including refunding and rescheduling shows, and to also help maintain our three heritage buildings until we can reopen. Refunds will be issued first; credit vouchers later.
