Christmas at Leeds Heritage Theatres

After missing out on Christmas 2020 for the first time in our collective 400-year history, Leeds Heritage Theatres is back for 2021 with (Bed)knobs on!

With enough festive cheer, frivolities and fun to warm even a beast’s heart, we guarantee everybody – young and old – a wonderful Christmas at our heritage venues. So much so, you’ll Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday!

Help safeguard our future

Christmas 2020 was the first time in our history that all of our three buildings stood closed over the festive period (bar refurbishment at The Grand from 2005-6 and City Varieties from 2009-11). Whilst The Grand and Varieties have reopened, and the work on The Picture House Project has begun, we still find ourselves in financial difficulty as audience confidence returns. We are asking our patrons, if you can afford it, to please help secure our long-term future by donating, buying memberships, or purchasing gift vouchers or merchandise.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your ongoing support and generosity and wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas and happy New Year. We hope to see you very soon.

Northern Bloc Golden Ticket Competition

This Christmas, we’re teaming up with Northern Bloc to run the popular Golden Ticket competition at Leeds Grand Theatre and City Varieties Music Hall.

Find a gold disc in the lid of your Northern Bloc ice cream at a performance of Bedknobs and Broomsticks or our Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto: Beauty and the Beast and win one of many fabulous prizes provided by Northern Bloc and Leeds Heritage Theatres.

For your chance to win, simply buy a Northern Bloc ice cream and look in the lid!
